A real home, on the edge of the Lincolnshire countryside.
Where comfort, care and companionship come together
A 23-room home with individually styled rooms, a large conservatory, and grounds that run out towards open fields.
The difference a small home makes
Choosing residential care is rarely a decision anyone makes lightly, and almost never one they make in good time. Most of the families who call us are worried, tired, and trying to work out what "good" even looks like.
Here is our answer. Wispington House is a converted country house on Mill Lane in Saxilby, with a lawn that runs out towards open fields and a decked patio where people sit and enjoy the sunshine during summer. Our staff have worked here for years and know each person's history, not just their care plan.
Every resident has a care plan built around what they want their day to look like — when they get up, what they eat, whether they'd rather be in the garden than the lounge. Families are part of that conversation from the first visit onwards.
Five ways we can help
From a single night of respite to palliative care, with the same team throughout.
Residential care
A permanent home with 24-hour support: personal care, medication, meals, laundry and company. Your own room, your own furniture, your own routine.
Dementia care
Person-centred support for people living with dementia, shaped around a lifetime of habits, preferences and cultural background — not around the diagnosis.
Respite care
From one night to several weeks, at short notice where we can. A break for the person caring at home — and a gentle way to get to know us.
Day care
A full day with all meals included, activities, company and the salon if you fancy it. A change of scene — and a breather for whoever cares at home.
Palliative care
Sensitive, dignified palliative care in familiar surroundings, working alongside district nurses, GPs and community palliative teams.
Days worth getting up for
Activities seven days a week, extensive grounds, a hairdresser on site, therapy dog visits, and walks out into the village.
“The care given at Wispington House has given my mother an opportunity to enjoy life again. She has suffered with Parkinson's for many years and could no longer cope at home. Now she can relax knowing that her day-to-day needs are met with thought and attention to detail.”P.S. — daughter of a resident
“It is the management and staff, working as a team, who ensure my wife is given all the care she requires. They are still able to maintain the friendly, relaxing and homely atmosphere which is evident throughout Wispington House.”P.M. — husband of a resident
“I appreciate the short-notice respite day care available in a local, easily accessible care home. My wife enjoys the company, food and activities in a place where she is well cared for.”G.D. — day care family
