Interests don't retire
A place to feel at home. A place to thrive.
Our activity coordinators are here to make sure every resident's interests and hobbies are catered for — and to help them find new ones.
See what we’ve been up to
We put photographs and news on our Facebook page as things happen — the singer who came in at Christmas, the tomatoes, somebody’s hundredth birthday. It is the truest picture of daily life here.
Our Facebook page
Loading the feed will place cookies from Facebook on your device, so we only do it if you ask. Nothing loads until you press the button.
Whatever you did before, keep doing it
When someone moves in, one of the first conversations we have is about what they used to do with their week. Wherever it is possible, we help them carry on — and we will help source the materials and equipment to make it happen, whether that is wool, seed trays, a card table or a subscription to the right magazine.
Our extensive grounds are ideal for a walk, and the raised beds mean residents can carry on gardening without kneeling down. Residents go out for walks and into the local area as and when the weather and the diary allow, and there is a hairdresser on site for everyone, including day care and respite guests.

Newspapers & the round-up
Papers, post and a chat about what's going on before the day starts properly.
Chair exercise
Gentle movement to music, sitting down, at everyone's own pace.
Bingo & quizzes
Loud, competitive, and by some distance the best-attended thing we do.
Hair salon
A proper wash and set on site — residents, respite and day care guests all welcome.
Summer fayre
Our big event of the year, and families are very much part of it.
Gardening club
Raised beds, tomatoes, and an ongoing argument about the state of the lawn.
Walks & local trips
Out into the village and around the local area, whenever the weather suits.
Exercise trainers
Staying active and healthy with professional guidance and support.
Therapy dog visits
Visits from our four-legged friends, which bring more joy than almost anything else we do.
One to one time
For residents who would rather have company in their own room than a group.

Home cooking, three times a day
Everything is cooked on site. Nobody eats anything they didn't choose.
